· Registration :

Registration is a process of record to the guest name , address, nationality etc, it is the act of recording necessary information related to the guest maintain a record of hotel guest as it is the source of information to the government or local authority on the movement of people in the country.


registration of room is done on the arrival of the guest in a hotel. it may be done in advance incase of VIP. the registration of the guest name, address etc protect both the hotel owner and the guest from the legal proof .

· Reception:

Reception receive register and allocate room to the guest at the time of there arrivel the important information about the guest like his name, address, nationality, passport no. purpose of stay, direction of stay etc, are record in the registration, the receptionist also manage the room key to the guest. he\she receive massage from the guest and inform to the guest reception maintain a close relationship with bellboy. House keeping , food production etc. reception ship will bellboy to carry guest luggage house keeping department for cleaning of guest room and placing guest amenities to the room and with kitchen or production department to order the food.

· Information:

: It is another important section of front office department . it is located at front desk of the front office department .information section is responsible for providing proper information to the guest about the guest , hotel facility and proper information about the local area , apart form, this information section is also looked after the guest mail and massage.

· Reservation:

The term reservation can be define as an agreement between the customer and service provider for the service use in future. a request for room on accommodation in a hotel by a guest for different period of time through different sources and modes is known as reservation . it is located at backside or behind the front desk where guest can't see or view it where as information ,reception, front office cashier and bell desk , are located in the front desk name of guest address, telephone no, email address, passport no, arrible date , etc are requested at the time of reservation.

· Tourism:

The word tourism was derived form France language "Tourisme". the literal meaning is the practice of traveling it is new concept and it's significant realized recently. tourism is the most recent and significant ,phenomena of the modern time.


tourism is an activity of movement of people from one area to another I search of pleasure, fun , relax, leisure business activities, educational purpose, health reason some go to visit different country and life style.

tourism is and important source of income for many country and provide job to thousand of people not only in hotel and restaurant but also in park, on travel, retailers. sport etc.
